In 2022, the troll Ivan Evigvår moved to the City of Roses, Mariager. Here, he has settled in well in the beautiful surroundings of the Munkholm Anlagget.
We won't say where exactly he has moved to, but if you start at the Rosenhaven in Mariager and enter the Munkholm Anlagget and follow the path, then you are well on your way.
Ivan Evigvår is a sight to behold. He is approx. 2 meters wide and 3,5 meters high. But don't worry, he's not like most trolls. He is gentle, happy and simply a joy to meet.
The troll was created by artist Thomas Dambo, who also stands for the many other trolls that can be seen both in Denmark, but also in several places abroad.

When Ivan Evigvår became homeless
The fact that Ivan Evigvår has moved to Mariager is not a coincidence. It has actually required quite a lot of effort to get Ivan Evigvår here. Ivan Evigvår was born during "The Great Troll Folk Festival" - a project that arose due to Covid19.
Since then he has lived at Sydhavnen in Copenhagen, but due to a new building, Ivan Evigvår suddenly became homeless in 2022. Therefore, Artist Thomas Dambo created a competition where people could vote on where Ivan Evigvår should move to. Among five other cities, Mariager was nominated and thus in the competition to get a new inhabitant to the city.
With over 51.000 votes, it was Mariager that became the lucky city that will henceforth house Ivan Evigvår. To the great joy of many in both Mariager and the surrounding area.
