Fyrkat Ringborg, an impressive Viking castle located in the beautiful landscape of Himmerland, has now been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Dating back to the Viking Age, when Harald Blåtand ruled, this historic fortification represents a significant part of Denmark's cultural heritage and tells a fascinating story about the society of the past.

Visitors today can experience Fyrkat Ringborg and discover the remains of the past, and at Stormandens gård further along Fyrkatvej you can see history come to life, when from May-September + the autumn holidays it is full of Vikings, showing Viking life, pursuits, battle and much more.

Hear the exciting stories about how the ring castle was built and what has been learned so far about its importance.
The tour of Ringborg Fyrkat takes place on all opening days at 10:30 in English and at 14:00 in Danish. Duration is approx. 30 minutes. If you have an entrance ticket, the tour is free. Read more here..
